HOME / ABOUT

YOUR TOWN.
YOUR COMMITTEE.

We're your neighbors — and we believe that what happens at the local level shapes everything else. Here's who we are, how we work, and how you can be part of it.

WHO WE ARE

COMMUNITY FIRST,
always.

The Greece Democratic Committee is a subdivision of the Monroe County Democratic Committee, dedicated to strengthening democracy right here in the Town of Greece. We're made up of elected neighbors — parents, teachers, workers, and retirees — who show up because local government matters.

We believe honest, responsive leadership starts close to home. Our job is to support great candidates, engage our community, and make sure every Democrat in Greece feels represented and heard.

We seek to further the cause of honest, responsive government and political leadership in our Town, County, State and Nation.

ACCOUNTABILITY

We believe government should answer to the people it serves. We support candidates who are transparent, accessible, and genuinely committed to Greece.

COMMUNITY

We're rooted in Greece. Our members live on your block, shop at your grocery store, and send their kids to your schools. This community is personal to us.

PARTICIPATION

Democracy works when people show up. We make it easier to vote, to run for office, and to have a real voice in the decisions that affect your life.

HOW WE OPERATE

what we
actually do

The GDC isn't just a name on a ballot — we're an active, year-round organization working to make Greece a better place to live. Here's what that looks like in practice.

YEAR-ROUND

WE ORGANIZE

Our committee members meet monthly, knock on doors, make phone calls, and build relationships with voters across every corner of Greece — not just during election season.

EVERY CYCLE

WE elect

We identify, recruit, and support Democratic candidates running for local office — from Greece Town Council to the Monroe County Legislature — and work hard to get them elected.

ALWAYS

WE represent

Every GDC member is elected to represent Democrats in a specific election district. They're a direct line between their neighbors and the broader Democratic Party.

OUR STRUCTURE

local by
DESIGN.

The GDC is a grassroots organization built from the ground up. Our committee members are elected — not appointed — which means they're directly accountable to the Democrats they represent in each election district.

We operate as a subdivision of the Monroe County Democratic Committee, which means we have the support of the county party while staying focused on what matters most: Greece.
